Thousands of people braved Sunday’s rain for the annual Auckland Santa Parade, with a mood of festivity and cheer filling the crowd who packed into Queen St. One parade-goer noted, “It is so special to be able to be outside and celebrating Christmas. Back home in Germany all of the Christmas festivals have been cancelled… We feel very lucky to be in New Zealand.”
