New rubbish collection routes may change pick up times

New contracts for waste collections across Auckland mean that rubbish collectors will be using new routing for greater efficiency. Residents are advised to place bins out before 7am on collection day, to ensure their waste is collected. Parul Sood, General Manager for Waste Solutions, says, “The new contracts have an increased focus on customer satisfaction. There’s also waste minimisation objectives in the contracts. By having all three services under the same collector, they won’t lose out when they successfully reduce waste to landfill and improve rates of recycling.”
