Police have seized guns and arrested two men in a crackdown on a gang operating in Auckland’s affluent suburb of Remuera, RNZ reports. The searches were part of Operation Cobalt investigations into the Mongols Motorcycle Club. During the search of the property police said they found an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and another rifle, a shotgun, ammunition, and items from several gangs including patches from the Mongols, Comancheros and Bandidos. Detective Inspector Aaron Proctor said police were continuing a strategy to disrupt illegal gang behaviour.
