Three people have been arrested after police officers were kept busy by a string of burglaries across Auckland in the early hours of Thursday, Newshub reports. A vehicle speeding in Royal Oak just after 2am was linked to an earlier burglary from a shop in Ellerslie. Less than half an hour later, a theft was reported on Great South Rd in Penrose. At 3:05am, officers were called to an attempted raim-raid in Ōrākei (the offenders failed to gain entry to the store and fled), and at 3:45am, a block of three retail addresses was burgled on West Tamaki Rd, St Heliers.
