Kiwi’s are being urged to brave the weather and head to the coast this weekend to take part in a country-wide survey of dolphins and whales, Stuff reports. Survey organiser Christine Rose said there had already been reports of humpback whales in unusual places – such as Auckland’s Manukau Harbour. Rose said she would be watching from the cliffs near Auckland’s Muriwai, where she had previously seen Māui dolphins and southern right whales.
