The manager of an Auckland petrol station which was ramraided overnight said the burglary at their store was “violating, like somebody breaking into your home”. The BP Botany on Chapel Road was hit around midnight on Monday in a smash and grab attack, Stuff reports. A Toyota Aqua was used – the vehicle is a popular choice among criminals because it is easy to break into. In fact, voracious thieves targetting Toyota hybrid hatchbacks have caused a nationwide shortage of spare parts.
