New Zealand’s biggest council is not renewing its membership of the BusinessNZ lobby group for the new business year, The Spinoff reveals. The membership, which across the council group cost $20,000 plus GST, came under the spotlight after BusinessNZ launched a campaign against free pay agreements and claimed that New Zealand had been put on a “naughty list” of “worst cases” by the International Labour Organisation, despite the fact the ILO was yet to make its assessment.
