A bronze sculpture worth about $40,000 has been stolen from Pah Homestead in Auckland’s Hillsborough, Stuff reports. The sculpture, made of about 50 kilograms of bronze, was stolen by two men in a silver hatchback about 6.30am on Monday. The robbery was caught on CCTV, but hoods and face masks are making it hard to identify the thieves. “It’s really annoying because melted down to bronze, it wouldn’t be worth that much,” a spokesperson said. “But as an art piece itself it’s worth somewhere between $30,000 to $45,000.”
