Preparing for Cyclone Fili

Aotea Great Barrier and Waiheke islanders should brace for some nasty weather, says Aucland Council, with Cyclone Fili hitting the North Island today (13 April). Aucklanders can expect overcast and calm conditions in the afternoon, Stuff reveals, with rain picking up from the evening onwards. “[Expect] severe south to southwest gales gusting 120kmh in exposed places, especially about the Hauraki Gulf, Great Barrier Island and Coromandel Peninsula,” MetService said.
