Auckland woman Tayla Clement, 24, has never been able to smile, due to a rare condition called moebius syndrome. The condition causes facial paralysis due to underdeveloped nerves, NZ Herald reports, and Clement endured horrendous bullying over her appearance. But while her childhood was marred by feeling like “an outcast”, she wants to use her platform and a new modelling gig with international modelling agency Zebedee to help others learn to celebrate what it is that makes them unique.
