A fake Instagram competition has more than 3000 entries, Stuff reports, after top Auckland restaurant Depot Eatery’s account was hacked on Wednesday. The post said the restaurant was giving away three $1500 gift vouchers, but owner and chef Al Brown confirmed the page had been hacked and there was no competition. “We can’t afford to give away a bread roll at the moment,” he said, adding that the entire hospitality industry is suffering with Covid restrictions over the past two years.
