The Covid-19 Omicron outbreak has caused shortages in blood donations across the Auckland region, Stuff reports. The NZ Blood Service (NZBS) says it needs more than 2500 donations for the remainder of March to meet current demand. “Healthy, eligible blood donors are needed in the Auckland region to help ensure we can continue to have enough supply to meet demand,” said Asuka Burge of NZBS. There are three donor centres in the Auckland region: North Shore Centre Donor Centre, Epsom Donor Centre and, Manukau Donor Centre.
