Auckland hit hard by ex-cyclone Dovi

Ex-cylcone Dovi arrived in Auckland overnight on Sunday and brought high winds and rain after travelling south from the Pacific where it reached category four status, Stuff reports. Auckland was lashed with strong winds over 105kmh, closing down the Harbour bridge temporarily. About 20,000 Auckland households lost power overnight, and businesses, transport, and health sites were closed as Dovi hit the city.
