In his last week in Auckland Airport’s top job, Adrian Littlewood says there is no longer any logic in forcing fully vaccinated New Zealanders with pre-departure testing into quarantine facilities, Newshub reports. He called on the Government to decide on the matter now, giving the aviation industry time to prepare amid the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. But PM Jacinda Ardern says, “…if you switch off your border protections quickly you do seed extra cases.” She added, “We all know that the thousands of cases we have from this outbreak… started from one, so we can’t be dismissive about one case being seeded in the community as not having an impact – it does.”
