A woman who escaped from MIQ security guards last night has surrendered to police after a series of separate quarantine breaches last night, NZ Herald reports. Three Covid cases escaped from a managed isolation facility in two separate incidents over 24 hours. The woman was taken straight to the Auckland District Custody Unit in Mt Eden. Joint head of MIQ Brigadier Rose King said the incidents were really disappointing and unacceptable, as deliberate breaches like this can put the wider community at risk.
