And in the hope that Aucklanders, now in Level 3, will spend money on local businesses who are really doing it tough, Stuff asked some friends with excellent taste for recommendations. Food ideas come from various well-known Kiwis, including Chloe Swarbrick (Green MP for Auckland Central) and Hercules Noble (chef). And if you’re willing to skip at least one night of the fast food fad, Chelsea Winstanley (filmmaker) has another idea: “I’m donating my takeaway money to… Women’s Refuge so [women in need] can have a safe place to sleep tonight and treat their kids to a Friday night feed one day.”
