Hundreds of trained pharmacy vaccinators are going to waste in the epicentre of the latest Covid-19 outbreak because of a slow and murky vaccine roll-out process, Stuff reports. As of mid-September, only 13% of pharmacies were delivering Covid jabs in Auckland – well behind the national average of 21%. Pharmacy Guild chief executive Andrew Gaudin said the potential for pharmacies to help vaccinate people earlier had been wasted by the slow approval process for vaccinators. “The striking thing is, because of the highly variable roll-out, it’s actually worst in Auckland.”
