Staff at a Warehouse distribution centre in Auckland have felt unsafe leaving work after dark this week after a woman’s body was found nearby, NZ Herald reports. A worker told the Herald he has been keeping watch of the area since the woman’s body was found, and earlier today he shooed off two men who were drinking there, because some staff were feeling unsafe. A spokesperson for The Warehouse said: “The safety and security of our team is always our first priority. Our distribution team members park in a secure carpark, and we have dedicated security staff on site at all times who are available to escort team to cars and or to the train station if required.”
