Mask wearing is compulsory on public transport across the country but it is a rule many appear to be ignoring in Auckland, RNZ reveals. Compliance has dropped especially for buses, ferries and trains. Transport officers have reminded passengers and even handed out masks. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health is working with transport operators to promote face masks as one way to minimise the spread of Covid-19.
