An Auckland barber who spent nine years growing his business plans to sell up so he can pay for the rebuild of his brother’s bombed house in Gaza, Stuff reports. Nehad Albattniji, the director of Mr Groom’s Room in Ponsonby, only heard about this week’s bombing from his mother, and notes that his brother wouldn’t want to ask for help. “I can’t imagine how long he saved to build that house,” he said. “I told my mum I will do something. The only thing I have to do is sell my business.”
