A keen runner is looking for the “heroes” who saved his life after he had a cardiac arrest at an Auckland park, Stuff reports. Devonport man Liston Meintjes, 74, participated in parkrun in the suburb of Millwater on Saturday morning. He went into cardiac arrest shortly after finishing his run. Mystery heroes did CPR while another person called an ambulance. Meintjes hopes to quickly recover – he has not suffered any neurological damage – and get back out on the course, so he can find the people who saved his life and give them a gift. “I want to thank them personally,” he said.
